History

PHB Engineers in its current state was been formed through the merger of Potgieter Hattingh Inc. and Bagale Roads and Transportation Engineers in 2007.

Potgieter Hattingh was originally established in 1988 as a company focused primarily on the road rehabilitation sector, with minor associated works.

Between 1988 and 2007 Potgieter Hattingh grew through various transition stages with the continual development and improvement of expertise including, Pavement Management Systems, Township Roads and Stormwater, Property Developments, Domestic Structures and Water and Sanitation Services.

Between 2002 and 2006 Potgieter Hattingh developed an excellent working relationship with KTi (Kenosi Tladinyani Investments), through the Siyaka Umgwako Consortium which was set up to carry out the Design and Construction of Roads and Stormwater Infrastructure in Soweto, Doornkop, Orange Farm and Vlakfontein.

As a result of the success of the Siyaka Umgwako Consortium, Johan Hattingh and KTi established Bagale Road and Transportation Engineers, in order to build on the established relationship and for the mutual benefit of the partners.

In 2014 the company changed its name to PHB Engineers. The company is owned and managed by the following directors:

  • Neo Tladinyane
  • Johan Hattingh
